ProDefence CEO contributes to Moldova’s cybersecurity capacity building at an e-Governance Academy workshop

Event report, November 2024.

Alexandru Angheluș, CEO of ProDefence and President of the Cyber Security Cluster of Excellence (CYSCOE), took part as a cybersecurity expert in a workshop organised by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation of the Republic of Moldova under the Moldova Cybersecurity Rapid Assistance initiative, supported by the e-Governance Academy (EGA). The workshop focused on Moldova’s national cyber resilience and the protection of its critical digital infrastructure.

The workshop

The event served as a working platform for aligning good practices in cybersecurity implementation and capacity development. For a country building its national cybersecurity framework, such workshops help translate strategy into concrete institutional measures: clear roles, response procedures and protection of essential services.

Contribution

In his role as an EGA-affiliated expert, Alexandru Angheluș contributed to the discussions on:

• operational security frameworks;
• threat response strategies;
• institutional preparedness for incidents affecting critical infrastructure.

The participation reflects the recognition of Romanian cybersecurity professionals at regional and international level.
