ProCIS: documentary and technical analysis of case files
ProCIS (ProDefence Case Intelligence Services) is the ProDefence service for teams handling large case files. You receive organised material, verifiable chronologies and technical analysis of digital evidence, with every finding traced to the document and page it comes from. Interpretation and strategy stay with the legal team.
What you receive
Three levels of work that can be combined. The scope of each is set per case file, after qualification and a sample review.
Case file foundation
Controlled intake of the material and a documentary base that can be searched and verified.
- Full inventory and identification of every document
- Reconciliation with the file index and flagging of gaps
- An initial factual summary
In-depth analysis
The relationships between facts, people and documents, put in order and tied to their source.
- Chronology of facts, with document and page references
- Index of persons and entities
- Cross-document correlations and version comparisons
- List of discrepancies, contradictions and open questions
Investigation and technical analysis
For files with a digital component or cyber incidents: ransomware, online fraud, data theft and leaks, phishing and malware, identity theft, online harassment, cases involving minors.
- Open-source research
- Analysis of electronic messages, files, metadata and system logs
- Technical chronology of the incident
- Written technical opinion, where the data supports it
How it works
We do not promise timelines before seeing the material. The estimate follows the sample.
Qualification
We confirm the mandate, the question to be answered and the scope of work.
Sample and estimate
We review a representative sample and propose deliverables, schedule and limits.
Processing and analysis
Material arrives through an agreed channel. Every operation is logged.
Delivery
Verified, versioned deliverables, sent only to authorised recipients with confirmation of receipt.
Who it is for
Professionals and organisations with a documented mandate over the case who need a verifiable factual base, not another opinion.
Individuals who are party to a case are referred to a professional who can contract the service.
- Legal professions
- Lawyers, law firms, in-house legal departments
- Compliance
- Compliance and fraud-prevention teams
- Other categories
- Insolvency practitioners, insurers, organisations with a documented mandate
Protecting the material
- Identifiable content stays on ProDefence-controlled workstations
- Cryptographic fingerprints computed on intake, so any change is detectable
- Tamper-evident log of every operation
- Separate storage, identifiers and access for each case file
- AI tools only on pseudonymised material, with human verification
- Transfer through an agreed channel: secure repository, encrypted transfer or signed handover
What ProCIS does not do
The ProCIS team is made up of auditors, incident responders, cybercrime analysts, document analysts and open-source researchers. It is not made up of lawyers.
- Legal advice
- We do not provide legal advice, representation or procedural strategy, and we do not calculate deadlines.
- Legal classification
- We do not classify facts legally and we do not rule on authenticity, admissibility or evidential value.
- System access
- We do not access systems or accounts using other people’s credentials.
- Accreditation
- ProDefence’s DNSC accreditation as a NIS auditor covers cybersecurity audits, not the ProCIS service.
Frequently asked questions
01Do I need to send the whole file for a first assessment?
No. A description of the case, the type of material and its estimated volume are enough for qualification. Case details should not be sent by email before the transfer channel is agreed.
02Which formats do you accept?
Paper documents (digitised on request), PDF, Word, Excel, emails, databases, audio and video recordings.
03How is the price set?
There are no fixed packages. Quotes are built per module after qualification and a sample review, and invoiced in RON under a contract and a delivery report.
04What happens with gaps in the file?
They are flagged explicitly in the deliverables. They are never filled with assumptions.
05Do you use artificial intelligence tools?
Only on pseudonymised material, through contracted services that do not train on the data, and every output is checked by an analyst against the source. Clients can ask for them not to be used.
06In which language is ProCIS contracted?
ProCIS currently works in Romanian and the procis.ro site is in Romanian. An English version is in preparation; until then, you can write to us in English at [email protected].
07Where do I send a request?
Through the form on procis.ro, which contains the qualification questions, or by phone at +40 763 204 739.
ProCIS requests go through procis.ro
The form on procis.ro contains the qualification questions: professional capacity, type and volume of material, deadline and the question to be answered. Do not attach case documents.
